Disappointed Olek Zniszczoł after squandered podium chance in Willingen! The Pole didn’t hide his anger after the unsuccessful competition, sincere words

In Sunday’s competition, problems with the weather conditions made themselves felt, but Zniszczoł once again showed off a fantastic jump. This time the Pole landed at 146 meters.

In the second round, the 29-year-old again failed to maintain the result from the first jump, and the distance of 130.5 meters only secured Zniszczoł 8th place. Andreas Wellinger triumphed in the competition, Ryoyu Kobayashi placed second, and Gregor Deschwanden completed the podium.

During the first question, the journalist quoted a fragment of Wisława Szymborska’s poem “Nothing Twice,” to which the 29-year-old immediately reacted. “Exactly, unfortunately, it happened just as I felt.

The jump was good on the edge, but then it was worse on the hill. I lost balance and speed.

I’m upset because I’m eighth. I’m pretty annoyed, I wanted more, but oh well.

We have to wait a bit more,” Zniszczoł conveyed. “So far, I’ve withstood the pressure and didn’t put more on myself, unfortunately it didn’t work out.

Everything came together in the first jump. It’s a pity it wasn’t enough,” the Pole concluded.
