Sławomir Koper continues his story about famous TV series from the era of the People’s Republic of Poland. This time, after “Dom” and “Czterdziestolatek,” we learn about the circumstances of the creation of a series with a dog in the leading role, titled “Przygody psa Cywila.” The author discusses why the creators of the series had to change the title, the pressures from the authorities at that time, and how the director found an actor to play one of the main roles.
But that’s not all – Sławomir Koper also tells the tragic story of the dog known as “Cywil” from the series. As it turns out, the quadruped was often fed candy by the TV crew on set, which significantly weakened its liver. For this reason, the dog had to be put to sleep.
