The last few months at SSC Napoli have been marked by a tug-of-war over Piotr Zieliński’s expiring contract and his potential extension. When it became clear that “Zielu” wanted to leave in July as a free agent, Aurelio De Laurentiis, the club’s president, took radical steps, such as removing him from the list of players authorized to play in the UEFA Champions League.

In the process, he also decided to shed some light on what Piotr Zieliński is like on a daily basis, something many fans may not know. The contract of the Polish midfielder with SSC Napoli expires on June 30.

It’s a pity for Piotrek, a pity for our national team, because he will probably be used less now. Since they have chosen this path, I wish Piotrek all the best.
