Kamil Stoch’s great rival ends his career! For years they fought for medals, the decorated jumper puts his skis aside

Until recently, three Prevc brothers – Peter, Domen, and Cene – had the opportunity to compete in the World Cup competitions. During a special press conference convened by the Slovenian jumper on Tuesday, February 6 at 13:00, he officially announced that he will retire from ski jumping after this season. Peter Prevc has made the decision, marking the end of an era. Similar to his brother last year, Peter Prevc will have the opportunity to end his sports career in front of his own audience in Planica, after the competitions concluding the 2023/2024 season.

The Slovenian made his World Cup debut in 2009, nearly 15 years ago, and his ski jumps have undoubtedly taken a toll on his health, which may be one of the reasons for his decision. He has won the Crystal Globe, Golden Eagle, and has claimed the Small Crystal Globe three times, as well as Olympic gold, silver, and bronze – the last of which was in 2022 in the mixed event. He has won 23 World Cup competitions and stood on the podium 57 times.
