Poles Best in the World Cup! Great success of Polish speed skaters, all just before the World Championships

The Polish team achieved a time of 1:18.71, placing second in the competition. They were 0.09 seconds faster than the Norwegians and 0.1 seconds faster than the Americans, who ultimately won the overall classification. In the individual competition, Kania improved his time to 34.69, which was 0.03 seconds better than his previous performance.

Michalski achieved a time of 34.72, and Żurek finished with 34.96. The American skater Jordan Stolz won the race with a time of 34.36, setting a new track record. In the B group, the only Polish skater, Jakub Piotrowski, finished in 12th place with a time of 35.22.

Yankun Zhao from Canada was the fastest in this group with a time of 34.99. The Japanese skater Wataru Morishige triumphed in the overall classification with a time of 34.95. Capping off the season, the World Cup ended with the women’s mass start race.

Belgian skater Sandrine Tas emerged as the winner. The Polish skaters, Magdalena Czyszczoń and Olga Piotrowska, finished in fifth and 14th place, respectively. In the overall classification, the Canadian skater Valerie Maltais claimed the victory.
