Paweł Wszołek Asked About Representing Poland: “I Couldn’t Sleep at Night”

I recovered because I had been struggling with an adductor recently. We worked hard in Turkey, so I’m sure it will be a successful round for us.

I didn’t feel particularly tired. The goal is to be 100% prepared for every match.

The overloaded adductor was bothering me more, but it wasn’t a big problem either. I feel good.

That’s the most important thing, and I hope this round will be better than the previous one. [Qendrim Zyba gave himself a birthday present.

And that was probably the most important thing. It wasn’t a perfect season because ultimately, we missed out on the Polish championship.

And that’s always our goal. But it was certainly a good season, considering it followed the previous one (Legia fought to avoid relegation in the 2021/22 season – ed.).

Every year, we have to fight for the championship, Polish Cup, and playing in European competitions. Our European adventure looks good, but we have a lot to prove and much to improve in the Ekstraklasa.

I’m glad it worked out. When I found out about the call-up, even though I’m an experienced player, I couldn’t sleep that night, I was immensely happy.

But I don’t want to stop there; I have to continue doing my best, proving the hard work every day to deserve a place in the national team.]
